Commissions for people and pets portraits are done from your photo or photos. A clear portrait with good lighting is a must. Also, a description including color of hair, eyes, and complexion is always helpful. Because miniature paintings are very small (usually 1 1/2" x 2" up to 2 1/2"x 3"), the space is limited to one or two figures. A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required for miniature portrait paintings. Prices for miniatures range from $150.00 to $250.00.
A 25% deposit is required on larger size portraits. Portraits start at 16"x 20" and go up to three feet by four feet on gallery stretched canvas. Larger size portrait prices are based on the number of people including pets in the painting. Hence, it takes up to 6 months or longer for multiple figures in a portrait. Portrait commission prices can range from $975.00 for a 16" x 20"to $7500.00 depending on size and number of figures in the composition. The artist will send photo updates on the progress of your painting for evaluation.
House portrait ink drawings start at $185.00 and up. The drawings are matted in a neutral colored mat and backed with foam core ready to frame.
